As a prelude to the last qualifying phase of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup (Costa Rica / Panama 2020), which will take place in the Dominican Republic from February 22 to March 8, 2020, on Wednesday February 19, our Grenadières faced on the lawn of the "Proyecto Goal" of San Cristobal in the Dominican Republic, the "Reggae girls" of Jamaica, during a test match which they largely won [4-1]

Our Grenadières have given themselves without reserve in this test match in order to discover the weaknesses which they will have to correct in the next training sessions, 4 days before their opening match of the last final phase of the playoffs.

Melchie Daëlle Dumornay aka "Coventina", Team Captain set the tone by opening the scoring to the 5’[1-0].

A few minutes later, Valentina Ornis sinks the score to 13’ [2-0] score inchanged at half time.

Upon returning from the locker room for the second period, coach Laurent Mortel made several changes within the team; Mariline Guerrier and Esthericove Joseph were replaced by Maudeline Moryl and Tabita Joseph in defense, Mirlène Dorcé also came in place of Valentina Ornis in attack.

Valentina is going to register in the 49’ a third goal on the counter of our Grenadières [3-0]

"Coventina" at 65 ’scored twice [4-0].

However, by overconfidence, our Grenadières cash before the end of regulation time a goal from Chantelle Parker who save the honor of the Reggae girls, on a direct free kick, which reduces the difference in the final score [4-1].

A great victory for our Grenadières, which strengthened their confidence 3 days before the start of the competition. The cap is now on the Cayman Islands, their first opponent in Group F, which they will face in the opening match on Sunday February 23 at 4:00 p.m. (Haiti time) at the "Proyecto Goal" in San Cristobal.
